Ship Chartering
Efficient cargo movement and optimal fleet utilisation are the twin engines of profitability in maritime commerce. Esenyel Denizcilik's chartering desk provides comprehensive solutions for both cargo principals seeking reliable tonnage and shipowners looking to maximise their vessels' earning potential. We cover all charter types across a broad range of vessel segments, backed by deep market knowledge and a global network of trusted counterparties.
Our chartering brokers are active daily in the market, monitoring fixture activity, tracking vessel positions, and engaging with owners, operators, and cargo principals worldwide. This constant market presence ensures our clients receive the most current intelligence and the fastest possible response to their requirements.
Charter Types
- Voyage Charter (V/C): Single-voyage arrangements where the shipowner provides the vessel and crew for a specific cargo movement between defined ports. Ideal for spot market requirements and opportunistic cargo placements.
- Time Charter (T/C): The charterer takes control of the commercial deployment of the vessel for a defined period, paying hire in advance. Suitable for cargo owners seeking reliable tonnage cover and owners seeking stable revenue streams.
- Bareboat Charter (B/B): The charterer assumes full operational and technical responsibility for the vessel, with the owner providing only the ship. Used by operators wishing to expand their fleet without capital expenditure.
- Contract of Affreightment (COA): Long-term agreements to carry a defined quantity of cargo over multiple voyages, providing volume certainty for cargo principals and revenue visibility for owners.
- Trip Time Charter (TTC): Short-term time charters for specific voyage sequences, balancing the flexibility of voyage charter with the cost predictability of time charter.
Vessel Segments
Our chartering expertise covers bulk carriers (Handysize, Supramax, Ultramax, Panamax, Capesize), tankers (MR, LR1, LR2, VLCC, Aframax), general cargo vessels, MPP/heavy lift vessels, container feeders, and coasters operating in the Black Sea, Mediterranean, and Turkish Straits regions.
Post-Fixture Support
Our involvement does not end at fixture. We provide post-fixture support including vessel performance monitoring, laytime calculation and demurrage/despatch resolution, claims support, and cargo tracking throughout the voyage. This end-to-end service ensures our clients' interests are protected at every stage of the charter party lifecycle.
